Selmer Paris Premium Soprano Saxophone Reeds
Henri Selmer Paris returns to its roots. The company that has defined saxophone craftsmanship since 1885 now brings that same exacting standard to its reed production — and the result is immediately apparent the moment you put one on your mouthpiece.
The reeds are sourced from Arundo donax cane, which is harvested from the Var region in the south of France. This cane has a noticeably denser fiber content than alternatives, allowing the reeds to hold up through temperature and humidity swings, and simply last longer. Selmer spent three years — in close collaboration with a variety of professional musicians — refining a profile that delivers easy response, flexibility, and a rich, warm tonal core with exceptional balance from the low range to altissimo.
Consistency is where these reeds set themselves apart from the competition. Each reed is scanned at 80 points along the bevel using a KEYENCE laser profile reader, ensuring that only reeds meeting Selmer's highest standards make it into the box. The practical result: a far more consistent box of reeds.
These reeds are a natural complement to Selmer Paris saxophones and mouthpieces, and a serious option for any saxophonist looking to elevate their sound.
